Forgotten Boardwalk Pride Weekend

The Queens are outside in full regalia to entertain you on the front porch of our mansion in our second Under the Stars Drag Show. Last year’s event was a sellout so get your tickets quickly! An inclusive Family Conversation About the Birds and the Bees at Koupa Espresso Bar led by Dr. Dennis Flores, who is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, an affiliated faculty at the Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Program, and is a Visiting Faculty Fellow at the Center for Research on AIDS at Yale University’s School of Public Health. Virtual programming with regards to allyship as well as suicidality in LGBTQ youth led by Brent A. Satterly, PhD, MSS, LCSW, CSE, CST, who is a Professor at Widener University. Tables at Haddon Square, with resources and representatives from CHOP Gender Clinic, Kaleidoscope, Attic Youth Center, Ida’s Book Shop, Jefferson LGBTQIA+ Health Program, Garden State Equality, GLSEN (formerly Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network), Camden County Women’s Shelter, Lez Run Running Club, and the William Way LGBT Community Center. Inclusivity In Family Conversations About the Birds and the Bees: What About the Unicorn?

We are so excited to welcome Dr. Dennis Flores to host this conversation. Dr. Flores is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, an affiliated faculty at the Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Program, and is a Visiting Faculty Fellow at the Center for Research on AIDS at Yale University’s School of Public Health. He has led several studies that investigates the role of parents in the sexual health education of their adolescent sons who identify as LGBTQ. His studies fuel his subsequent HIV prevention work that includes both urban and rural community education, being a national spokesperson for HIV testing campaigns, and workforce development with around 1300 nurses across three continents.
