The annual Summer Youth Internship Program pays $13.50 per hour for up to 20 hours per week. The program is designed to give an educational experience and financial incentive to the city’s youth and provide a structured work environment that has proven to motivate youth to finish high school and pursue higher education. Eligible participants must be between the ages of 14 to 17 years old and must permanently reside in the City of Camden.

“This program allows our youth to receive hands on working experience that can be useful for them as they navigate their education and their eventual transition to the working world,” McDonnell said. “It is a wonderful opportunity for the kids here in Camden city and we encourage young residents to consider applying.”
