Colleen Bianco Bezich, Haddonfield
2025 Camden County MLK Freedom Medal Winner

Colleen Bianco Bezich has dedicated her career to advancing equity, inclusion, and community empowerment. As the Mayor of Haddonfield, she has broken barriers as the first in the Borough’s history to host events celebrating PRIDE, Juneteenth, and Diwali, fostering a more inclusive community that embraces diverse traditions and voices.

Her commitment to serving underserved communities began in her youth, mentoring refugee children through the Diocese of Camden’s Office of Migration and Refugee Services, a mission she carried into adulthood. Over the years, she has supported impactful organizations such as LUCY Outreach, where she served as a board member, and Cathedral Kitchen, organizing the annual “Souper Bowl” event to benefit food-insecure families while supporting small businesses.

Colleen has also been a passionate advocate for maternal health equity, working with Senator Cory Booker’s office to craft bipartisan legislation addressing disparities in outcomes for Black mothers and participating in First Lady Tammy Murphy’s Nurture NJ initiatives. Her efforts extend to partnerships with nonprofits like Ronald McDonald House Charities, Camden County Women’s Center, and the Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative, amplifying their missions and impact.

In addition to her role in Haddonfield, Colleen leads efforts to optimize data & insights within the global communications and government affairs teams at GSK, working to achieve strategic outcomes in therapy areas such as HIV and oncology, while also supporting large-scale initiatives such as ESG. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive future for all.
