“This project has included working with new and existing concrete and asphalt surfaces, but the freezing conditions of the winter months make continuing that work extremely difficult,” said Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “For this reason, a request to suspend the project until sometime in March or April of 2018, has been approved.”
The approximately $600,000 project will mill and pave the roadway, improve handicap ramps, install a concrete vertical curb, improve storm water drainage, and more. The project was originally to be completed by the end of January, and will now be extended to an undetermined date in 2018.
