(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified that NJ American Water that crews are conducting a concrete restoration project at the site of a recently-installed mater main on Broadway in Camden starting Wednesday, Oct. 17. During this time, Broadway will be closed from Dr. Martin Luther King Drive to Stevens Street.
“This is the same closure and detour that was in place earlier this summer when crews were out to replace that water main in Camden,” said Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “Motorists should expect the same traffic patterns, congestion, and necessary detours as when that project was underway. When driving through the construction area, everyone has to be mindful of sudden stops and remain extra vigilant of additional hazards.”
Crews will be active between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., during which time the affected stretch of roadway will be closed. Motorists will be directed to utilize Haddon Avenue and 7th Street in order to circumvent the construction area.
This project is expected to be completed on Thursday, Oct. 17. Scheduling and project timing is also dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
