9 New COVID-19 Cases Identified in Camden County Wednesday

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 8 new positive cases of COVID-19 which occurred Wednesday, April 26. Additionally, there were 1 case detected through antigen testing, bringing the total number of cases 9. The aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 139,744 and 1,803 total fatalities. 

 

The outcomes from these antigen tests, unlike the results from the polymerase chain reaction, (PCR) are probable positive cases. These daily numbers are added into our aggregated lab tested PCR metrics.

Of the 8 cases, 1 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 57 years old.

To date, 427,070 Camden County residents have received at least one of the COVID-19 vaccine, 383,399 have received two doses and 254,776 have received a third dose. The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Omicron variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
