(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 56 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 51,036 and 1,242 total fatalities.
Today’s cases are involving residents living in the following municipalities:
“The only way we can put this pandemic behind us is to get everyone vaccinated,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “It is heartbreaking to watch these numbers come in every day knowing that they could be prevented. If you have not gotten your vaccine yet, please do not wait any longer.”
To date, 307,783 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 279,793 are fully vaccinated. More information regarding vaccination rates throughout the county and available on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard at covid19.nj.gov.
The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
