269 New COVID-19 Cases Identified in Camden County Between 2/4 and 2/6

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 246 new positive cases of COVID-19 which occurred between Saturday, Feb. 4 and Monday, Feb. 6. Additionally, there were 23 cases detected through antigen testing, bringing the total number of cases 269. The aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 137,096 and 1,781 total fatalities. 

 

The outcomes from these antigen tests, unlike the results from the polymerase chain reaction, (PCR) are probable positive cases. These daily numbers are added into our aggregated lab tested PCR metrics.

Of the 246 cases, 49 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 39 years old.

To date, 427,443 Camden County residents have received at least one of the COVID-19 vaccine, 382,632 have received two doses and 253,186 have received a third dose. The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Omicron variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
