(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified that Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) will be making repairs to its natural gas facilities on Route 130 northbound in Brooklawn between the Brooklawn Circle and Browning Road.

“I urge motorists to stay alert and exercise caution when driving through this section of Rt. 130 in Brooklawn during the utility construction, and allow yourself extra time to reach your destination” Shin Angulo said. “Whenever you are driving through a construction zone, please stay prepared for traffic pattern changes and be observant of posted instructions or directions.”

The repairs are expected to take approximately three weeks to complete. Local police will be on site to direct traffic. The roadway will remain open in both directions, although right lane and right shoulder closures will be necessary during the construction.

The utility repairs are a result of required surveys for the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) Route 130 Brooklawn Circle Project. Construction and detour signs will be utilized to provide advance notification to the public of all traffic pattern changes associated with the work. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.

Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website www.511nj.org for real-time travel information and for NJDOT news follow us on Twitter @NJDOT_info.

Camden County is aggressive about repairing all county maintained roads. The Freeholder Board asks residents to report road hazards they encounter to the Camden County Public Works Hotline (856) 566-2980.  The number is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
