(Collingswood) The Camden County Board of Freeholders and the Borough of Collingswood welcomed the United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus to Knight Park in Collingswood.

“The patriotic tribute to our Veterans and our grateful nation was the perfect lead-in to Fourth of July weekend,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “To mark the occasion, the Freeholder Board designated June 28 as Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus Day in Camden County.”

Hundreds of residents in attendance enjoyed the beautiful weather and wonderful sounds of the “History of the US Army”. Concert goes were led through a history of our Armed Services through music and story, with a special salute to all those who served their country at the end of the concert.

“The United States Army Field Band gave us a truly memorable night in Collingswood,” said Collingswood Mayor James Maley. “Their performance was inspiring and flawless, as expected. We were honored to be their first tour stop, we only hope they’ll return to Collingswood again.”
