Sheriff's Officer Howard F.
Brooks
and his partner K-9 Welbe
Canine Welbe is a German Shepherd/Labrador who conducts regular patrol duties and is cross trained for Narcotic detection. Officer Brooks and Welbe are on afternoon duty and at times are called out on narcotic calls. They assist other agencies throughout the county as well performing demonstrations for special events.
Congratulation to Sheriff's Officer Howard Brooks and his new canine partner, Wolf, on their recent graduation from the sixteen-week training school sponsored by the Camden County Police Academy and the New Jersey Police Canine Association.
This is Officer Brooks' second canine partner. His first canine partner, Welbe, recently retired after a distinguished 10-year career that included numerous criminal apprehensions and narcotic seizures. Welbe received numerous letters of commendations, citations and awards from Camden County Police Departments and the Camden County Prosecutors Office. Welbe now relaxes at home with Officer Brooks and his family.
Officer Brooks and his new canine partner, Wolf, a two year-old German Shepherd can be seen on patrol around the County Justice Complex in Camden.
