Cultural Awareness Commission

The purpose of this commission is to facilitate awareness of the cultural diversity of the various ethnic, racial, and religious groups within the County of Camden via seminars, educational programs, exhibits, guest speakers, etc., as approved by the Camden County Board of Commissioners.

The focus of the Commission is to foster a community spirit which promotes human dignity, harmony and understanding within and among the various ethnic groups which make up the citizenry of Camden County.

The 11 to 13 member board shall be comprised of a culturally and geographically diverse group of residents of the County of Camden. The membership of the Commission shall be reflective of the ethnic, racial and cultural diversity of the community. Members of the Commission shall be persons who have actively demonstrated an interest in promoting the goals of cultural awareness.

The Camden County Cultural Awareness Commission was established in March 2018.
