What is the jurisdiction of the Camden County Park Police ...?The Camden County Park Police are administered by the Camden County Department of Public Safety and have a primary duty to patrol and provide police services to all Camden County Park facilities, the Communication Complex in Lindenwold NJ and the Lakeland Human Services complex in Blackwood NJ. However; when an officer observes illegal activity in any municipality in Camden County, that officer has the authority to arrest or issue a summons. Camden County Park Police have the same powers of enforcement within the territorial limits of the state of New Jersey as are conferred upon police officers or constables while on or off duty. (See N.J. Statute Title 40:37-95.41) In simple terms, officers have county wide law enforcement jurisdiction with a priority on the county parks.

Where do the Camden County Park Police patrol ...?
The Camden County Park Police are responsible for patrolling all Camden County Parks and several facilities throughout 15 municipalities totaling approximately 4700 acres; the largest county park system in New Jersey. These include general purpose parks, a golf driving range, a marina, lakes, The Battleship NJ museum, a boathouse, The Human Services Complex, The Camden County Communication Complex, parts of the Susquehanna Bank Center concert venue, parts of the Camden Adventure Aquarium, some county and state roads, and much more. The park police also assist the 37 municipal police departments throughout Camden County, and several police departments in bordering counties, whenever needed. In addition to routine traffic enforcement, radar details are also carried out on some public roads and highways. The department also participates aggressively in DWI enforcement throughout the county.

What number do I call for an emergency in a Camden County Park ...?
If you need the Park Police to respond to an emergency in a county park dial 911. Explain your emergency and request a Camden County Park Police unit to respond. What time do the county parks close ...?
All Camden County Parks are officially closed to the public at 10:00 pm with the exception of the Pennsauken Township section of Cooper River Park along North Park Drive which closes at midnight.

Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in all county park areas.

Do I need a permit to utilize the picnic areas throughout the Camden County Park system….?
The answer is no, however, if you wish to reserve an area for a specific date, you will need a permit. Obtaining a permit is the only way to assure that the specific area will be available for use when you want it. The headquarters of the Camden County Park Police is located at the Camden County Communications Complex at 2311 Egg Harbor Rd, Lindenwold NJ 08021. We also have substations in Camden City and on the Lakeland Human Services Complex in Blackwood NJ.

If I am arrested by or receive a traffic summons from the Camden County Park Police, where do I pay the fine or go to court ...?
If you are arrested by or receive a summons from the Camden County Park Police, your case will be heard at the municipal court in the municipality in which the offense occurred. Since the department has county wide jurisdiction, each respective municipal court may be utilized. The municipality in which the offense occurred is listed on top of the summons and court contact info is on the back of the summons. In most cases you can also pay your fine(s) online at www.njmcdirect.com. DO NOT come to the County Park Police HQ for court or to pay a fine.

How long do I have to wait before I report someone missing?
There is no time limit when someone is missing. It is helpful if you can provide a recent picture of the missing person and a description of what the individual was wearing when last seen.

What does Internal Affairs investigate?
The Internal Affairs Bureau investigates allegations of corruption and serious misconduct against members of the Camden County Park Police.
