The Camden County Board of Freeholders presents a FREE cooking workshop for seniors! This free workshop series is designed with the senior citizen lifestyle and dietary needs in mind. Participants will learn from trained chefs and culinary students how to plan and prepare healthy meals, and will participate in hands-on cooking demonstrations.

- November 5: Breakfast - Yogurt Parfait and Vegetable Omelet

The Camden County Board of Freeholders is excited to bring you our Fall Arts and Crafts classes “JUST FOR SENIORS”!
Jubilation Creations®, Inc., 713 Haddon Ave, Collingswood, NJ 08108, is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to bringing the "joy of creativity without limits" to the senior citizen community of Camden County. For 4 sessions this spring, The Board of Freeholders will sponsor classes with Jubilation Creations. Starting on September 11th, you will spend one hour making a different project that you will finish and take home. Class times are 11:30 am to 12:30 pm and will begin promptly! By creating these special items, you will bring your creative spirit to light, so come and enjoy yourself with us!
Below is the schedule of each class date, and the project that will be made on that day. Please note that the project listed for that day will be the only project done on that day. Everyone attending that class will make the same craft item, but you will be able to pick the craft supplies you want to use for your project. 10/09: Foam Board Reversible Pendant Necklace: Pick a shape and cut it out of foam board, then decorate each side with felt and bling...and you've got a fun, fashionable, reversible necklace!
10/23: Halloween Shrink Art Pin: Pick a pumpkin, bat, or other Halloween icon, and make a cute pin to wear to show you're in the Halloween spirit!
This class is designed to bring yoga to your day, come as you are and utilize some of your time to maintain health and revitalize your body systems. Yoga develops a union connecting body, mind and breath in essence, it is an entire body tune-up!
This class is suitable for all experience levels.
Class sizes are limited so please register early! Classes are 1 hour long – 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the respective towns.

FREE Classes for Seniors! This class is designed to bring Tai Chi to your day. Come as you are and use some of your time to maintain your health and revitalize your body’s systems. Tai Chi develops a union connecting body, mind and spirit. In essence it’s a whole body tune-up. Chairs are available and the class can be taken standing, sitting or a combination of both.

The Camden County Surrogate and the Freeholder Board’s Division of Senior & Disabled Services will hold a series of free legal workshops for senior and disabled residents throughout the month. The sessions will be held at the Camden County Store, located on the second level of the mall at Voorhees Town Center, Somerdale and Burnt Mill Roads, Voorhees.
Those who attend the session will have the opportunity to receive legal advice on a Last Will and Testament, an Advance Directive for Health Care also called a Living Will and a Power of Attorney. Anyone interested in attending one of the sessions must call the County Store at (856) 566-2920 to save their spot.
Participants are required to be Camden County residents aged 60 and over. Disabled citizens must be aged 18 and over and residents of Camden County. Workshops are limited to 35 participants per session and pre-registration is required. To register, please call (856) 566-2920.
Those attending this workshop receive, at no cost, a Last Will and Testament, an Advance Directive for Health Care (Living Will) and Power of Attorney. No other topics will be addressed by these workshops.
