The County Animal Response Team (CART) is an all-volunteer group operating under the Office of Emergency Management. CART's activities in emergency preparation include recruiting and training volunteers (over the age of 18); raising public awareness among the community-at-large through County events, fairs, electronic and print media; helping the public to be ready for a disaster; and taking a leadership role interacting with the County shelters, municipalities and other groups that require CART's services. (KIDS - there's a Pet Disaster Kit for you and a special Canine Hero trading card game on this page, too.)

CART is deployed ONLY by the County OEM and does not show up at disaster sites without orders. CART members carry an ID and wear an orange t-shirt identifying them to the general public. If you are interested in becoming a CART member, please contact Mr. Don Elmer (elmer@camdencounty.com) or Mr. George Martin (gmartin@camdencounty.com) for further direction.

Remember, to fill out the CART Registration Form and a CART member will be in contact with you about the next step.
