Introduction to the Restaurant Inspections Online Database
Your Connection to Reports on Restaurants, School Cafeterias, Hospitals
and Other Food Handling Enterprises
Welcome to the Camden County Department of Health and Human Services’ online inspection reports website for restaurants and other food handling facilities. Finding health inspection reports for your favorite restaurants has never been easier. Simply type any combination of a restaurant’s (or school’s, etc.) name, address or municipality in which it is located and click on the search button. If the facility has been inspected this year using the new digital inspection report process, it will be available to view on the site. It’s that easy. The system provides advanced search tools to narrow or expand your search, such as looking for all restaurants in a certain town.
Not only can citizens search the online database for their favorite restaurants, anyone can register on the site to receive email alerts when new reports for their favorite restaurants are posted to the system. If the facility you are looking for is not yet in the system, registering on the site will allow us to notify you when it is. The alerts function also provides the option to receive alerts about food borne illness outbreaks and other food-related news alerts.
Camden County’s new Digital Health inspection will include reports dating back to Jan. 1, 2009. It does not include reports for inspections conducted before January 2009. Older reports (in paper format, dating back three years) are on file and available upon request by contacting the Camden County Office of the Custodian of Records at (856) 225-2131. The system should include inspection reports for all Camden County food establishments sometime in 2010.
