Von Tiehl has specialized in breaking news coverage throughout her career, reporting on a variety of stories from a tsunami threat in Northern California to the search for an escaped convict on the FBI’s “most wanted list” in New York State. On the lighter side of the business, she has developed multiple lifestyle segments for the morning news programs she has anchored.
Von Tiehl is a 2003 cum laude graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications studies. A native of Pasadena, California, this history buff enjoys city living. She and her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Sophie, have settled into their new home in Center City Philadelphia.
