The Camden County Library System Celebrates
National Library Week April 13-19
For Immediate Release: March 26, 2008
Contacts: RON TOMASELLO
“National
Library Week is a time to celebrate the contributions of libraries,
librarians and library workers in schools, campuses and communities
nationwide,” said Freeholder Riletta L. Cream, liaison to
the Camden County Library System. “It is the perfect time
to discover your local library and all it has to offer you and your
family.”
The
Camden County Library System is celebrating National Library Week
by presenting “Dream Big”, a series of antiques appraisals,
music, history talks, dance performances and special guests. First
sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance
sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries
across the country each April.
“Everyday,
libraries in big cities and small towns, colleges and universities,
in schools and in businesses help transform their communities,”
said Freeholder Cream. “At the libraries of the Camden County
Library System, people of all backgrounds can come together for
book clubs, lectures and programs, to do research with the assistance
of a trained professional, to find a job or to get hold of homework
help. They are even able to join a quilting club at the library.”
