Camden County will present 28 Camden County Freedom Medals on Friday, January 25 at 8:00 pm.

“The honor recognizes extraordinary Camden County citizens who have unselfishly contributed their time and effort to better their community while exemplifying those ideals indicative of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.,” explained Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.

The awards ceremony will be held at Camden County College in Blackwood, followed by “Keep the Dream Alive”. Performed by the Enduring Legacy Ensemble, this spiritual and uplifting show will celebrate the legacies of Dr. King and Coretta Scott King with music, speeches and interpretive dance.

“We are proud to have such a distinguished and diverse group of honorees this year,” said Freeholder Riletta Cream. “Each recipient carries their commitment to serve the community with them throughout the year, and are truly and inspiration to us all.

Tickets to the free program are available at the Camden County Parks Building, 1301 Park Boulevard, Cherry Hill, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday through Friday. There is a limit of two tickets per person.
