Storm is over, most roads cleared to blacktop

With the storm now over, the majority of Camden County roads are cleared to blacktop. Public Works crews and some municipalities that help clear county roads under a shared services agreement, worked diligently throughout the storm to clear roads and keep residents safe.

The Camden County Public Works Department is still working on some problems in the southern end of the county, where there was more drifting of snow that made road clearing more challenging.

The department will keep a skeleton crew on all weekend to work on patching some of the numerous potholes caused by this winter’s severe weather.

The sun is out this afternoon, helping to dry out the roads. However, temperatures will drop overnight so residents should be careful of potential black ice on roads tomorrow morning.

If you need to report either a pothole or a snow-caused problem on a county road, please call the Public Works Department at 856-566-2980.

If you would like to receive email updates on storms or other news and information of interest to Camden County residents, please go here to register.
