CAMDEN COUNTY PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
JAMES P. LYNCH, ACTING CAMDEN COUNTY PROSECUTOR
MEDIA INFORMATION

May 30, 2006

Acting Camden County Prosecutor James P. Lynch and Cherry Hill Police Chief Charlie Jones reported today that a 54-year-old man is being held on Sexual Assault and related charges, accused of exposing and touching himself in view of young girls at a softball game on Friday, May 26, 2006, in Cherry Hill, N.J.

Latchezar T. Guenovski, of Lloyd Avenue in Cherry Hill, is being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility in lieu of $75,000 bail, cash or bond. He is charged with three counts of Sexual Assault, a second-degree offense carrying a maximum 10-year prison term upon conviction. It is alleged that he exposed and manipulated his genitals in view of three female victims, ages 8, 10 and 12, to sexually arouse and gratify himself. There is no allegation that the defendant made physical contact with the victims.

Guenovski, a pizza delivery driver, is also charged with three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a third-degree offense carrying a maximum five-year prison term upon conviction. It is alleged that he engaged in sexual conduct that would impair or debauch the morals of the victims. No court dates are scheduled at this time.

Investigation indicates that Guenovski walked from his home to the Cherry Hill National Little League fields on Cooper Landing Road in Cherry Hill, where numerous girls and parents had gathered for softball games Friday afternoon. At approximately 5 p.m., a parent noticed the defendant touching his exposed genital area near several girls. The parent contacted police and an investigation commenced, resulting in Guenovski’s arrest.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to call Investigator Paul Audino of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Child Abuse Unit at (856) 614-8000 or Cherry Hill Police Detective Deborah Kappler at (856) 488-7833.

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
