Acting Camden County Prosecutor James P. Lynch and Camden Police
Executive Robert L. Stewart reported that homicide detectives are
investigating the fatal shooting of a Philadelphia resident on Friday,
May 5, 2006, in Camden, N.J.
Camden
Police responded to a report of a man shot at 11:38 a.m. on Friday
and arrived to find the victim, later identified as Donshea L. Horsey,
22, of Philadelphia, lying on Louis Street near the intersection
with Chase Street. Horsey had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and
was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced
dead at 4:38 p.m. A name and age of the victim initially provided
to officers was later determined to be false.
Investigation
indicates that Horsey got into a fistfight with another male. While
the two were fighting, a third male approached on foot, fired a
handgun at Horsey and fled on foot. It is not known what led to
the fistfight and the motive for the shooting is likewise unknown.
Anyone

James Bruno at (856) 225-8400 or Camden Police Detective Isidoro
