WANTED PERSON: Taleon T. Goffney (See photo below)
Should be considered armed and dangerous
LKA: 7510 Park Ave., Pennsauken
DOB: 4/8/82 (age 24)
Description: African-American male, 6-feet tall, 195 pounds, muscular
build, short black hair, brown eyes.
Last seen wearing a dark-colored tank top, tan cargo shorts, no
shoes and handcuffs.
On
May 4, 2006, Clementon Police officers were conducting surveillance
of reported drug activity at the Clementon Court Apartments, 222
White Horse Pike, Clementon, New Jersey. After observing several
alleged "open air" drug transactions, officers arrested
Taleon T. Goffney 24, of the 500 block of Park Avenue, Pennsauken,
N.J.
Goffney
was allegedly found in possession of approximately a half an ounce
of packaged crack cocaine and a loaded .25-caliber automatic handgun.
Also
arrested was Christy L. McShea 21, of the 900 building of Silver
Lake Manor Apartments in Clementon, who allegedly purchased crack
cocaine from Goffney.
While
police were transporting Taleon Goffney to police headquarters for
processing, Goffney escaped from moving police vehicle by breaking
the rear driver’s side window with his forehead. The defendant
then dove from the moving patrol unit while still handcuffed with
his arms behind his back and fled into a heavily wooded area behind
179 White Horse Pike, Clementon. Goffney, reportedly skilled in
martial arts, allegedly assaulted two Clementon officers while escaping.
Sgt. Thomas Muller, 38, was treated at a local hospital for shoulder,
rib and knee injuries.

* Escape 2nd degree
* Possession of CDS (crack cocaine) 3rd degree
* Distribution of CDS (crack cocaine) 3rd degree
* Possession of A weapon (handgun) 3rd degree
* Unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun) 2nd degree
* Certain Person not to Possess weapons (convicted felon) 2nd degree
*(2) counts of aggravated assault on Police Officer(s) 3rd degree
* Criminal
Mischief (Damage to Patrol Vehicle, $1,200.000) 4th degree
* Theft, disorderly persons
Christy
McShea was charged with: (released on Summons)
Possession of CDS 3rd degree
Loitering to possess CDS disorderly person
All
persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent unless
proven guilty in a court of law.
