Acting Camden County Prosecutor James P. Lynch and Camden Police
Executive Robert L. Stewart today asked for the public’s help
in identifying surveillance photographs of subjects wanted for questioning
in the shooting death of a Mount Holly man on April 15, 2006, in
Camden, N.J.
Curtis
Jackson, 32, a bouncer at the Café II on Ferry Avenue, was
shot to death early that morning in the club’s parking lot
after a fight that began inside spilled out the front door. Please
see the attached surveillance camera images. Please note that date
printed on image number 2 is incorrect. All photos are from late
night April 14 and early morning April 15.
Investigation
indicates the following:
Jackson
was one of several men working security at the club. At approximately
2:30 a.m., a fight broke out involving numerous patrons inside the
club. Jackson and his colleagues intervened and struggled with several
patrons, who quickly left or were removed. Jackson followed the
crowd out the front door into the parking lot. Shots rang out and
Jackson was struck in the head. He collapsed in the parking lot.
