CAMDEN COUNTY PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
JAMES P. LYNCH, ACTING CAMDEN COUNTY PROSECUTOR
MEDIA INFORMATION

April 21, 2006

Acting Camden County Prosecutor James P. Lynch and Camden Police Executive Robert L. Stewart today asked for the public’s help in identifying surveillance photographs of subjects wanted for questioning in the shooting death of a Mount Holly man on April 15, 2006, in Camden, N.J.

Curtis Jackson, 32, a bouncer at the Café II on Ferry Avenue, was shot to death early that morning in the club’s parking lot after a fight that began inside spilled out the front door. Please see the attached surveillance camera images. Please note that date printed on image number 2 is incorrect. All photos are from late night April 14 and early morning April 15.

Investigation indicates the following:

Jackson was one of several men working security at the club. At approximately 2:30 a.m., a fight broke out involving numerous patrons inside the club. Jackson and his colleagues intervened and struggled with several patrons, who quickly left or were removed. Jackson followed the crowd out the front door into the parking lot. Shots rang out and Jackson was struck in the head. He collapsed in the parking lot.

Anyone with information about the incident of the subjects in the photographs is urged to call Senior Investigator Ron Moten of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit at (856) 225-8400 or Camden Police Detective Orlando Perez at (856) 757-7400.
