Acting Camden County Prosecutor James P. Lynch and Camden Police
Executive Robert L. Stewart reported today that a juvenile was charged
yesterday in the September 15, 2005 death of Indalecio Zamorano
Lopez.
An
adult co-defendant, Yamil Rodriguez, has already been charged in
connection with the death. Bail was set on Monday at $400,000 cash
for Rodriguez.
It
is alleged that: The juvenile and Rodriguez approached the victim
and another man as they sat in a vehicle on Stewart Street in Camden,
New Jersey. Rodriguez demanded cash from the men in the car. One
male did not comply. Rodriguez then struck this man in the head
with a handgun. When this man was struck, the handgun discharged
and the bullet struck Indalecio Zamorano Lopez, killing him.
All
persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent unless
and until proven guilty in a court of law.
