Acting Camden County Prosecutor James P. Lynch and Cherry Hill Police
Chief Charlie Jones reported that detectives are investigating the
stabbing death of a woman whose body was found this morning in her
home in Cherry Hill, N.J.
Family
members found the victim, Rasheedah McEady, 39, in her bedroom at
1 Perot Ave. at approximately 6:45 a.m. and called Cherry Hill Police.
Camden County Medical Examiner Gerald Feigin performed an autopsy
and ruled the cause of death as a stab wound to the upper body and
the manner of death as homicide.
The
victim’s three children, ages 8 to 16, were home when the
victim was discovered. A teenage friend of the family was also at
the home. One of the minors found the victim when they entered her
room because she was not responding to her ringing alarm clock.
McEady
was the owner/operator of one or more daycare centers in South Jersey.
Family members last saw her alive on Wednesday night, March 24.
There were no signs of forced entry.
No
arrests have been made. An investigation is continuing by the Camden
County Prosecutor’s Office and Cherry Hill Police.
