June 30, 2005
Camden County Prosecutor Vincent P. Sarubbi and Camden Police Chief
Edwin J. Figueroa reported that a $6,000 reward has been posted
for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person
or persons responsible for killing Eduardo Troche, a.k.a. "Polo,"
who was shot to death on June 5, 2004, in Camden, N.J.
Investigation indicates that Troche, 31, was among a group of about
a half dozen people socializing in front of a home near North 2nd
and York streets at approximately 2:20 a.m. last June 5. Two shooters,
believed to be males wearing masks, approached on foot from the
west on York Street and began firing. The group scattered. The shooters
fled in an unknown direction. Troche, of the 300 block of Mickle
Street in Camden, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at the
scene.
The reward includes $1,000 from the Prosecutor's Office and $5,000
from the victim's family.
"We believe there are people with information about who is responsible
for this cold-blooded crime," Sarubbi stated. "We implore them to
contact detectives and help bring these dangerous individuals to
justice."
Anyone with information is urged to call Senior Investigator Jeff
Long of the Camden County Prosecutor's Office at (856) 297-0921
or Camden Police Detective Wayne Matthews at (856) 757-7446.
