Camden County Prosecutor Vincent P. Sarubbi and Woodlynne Police
Chief John Ragan are asking for the public's help in identifying
a man who committed an assault and robbery in Woodlynne, N.J., on
March 23, 2004.
At about 2:10 p.m. that day, the suspect entered the Old Farm Market
at Ferry and Park avenues and purchased some merchandise. As the
female clerk was retrieving change from the register, the suspect
pulled a rock from his right coat pocket and struck the woman on
the left side of her neck, knocking her to the floor. The suspect
then reached over the counter and removed cash from the register
drawer. The victim suffered bruises.
The suspect then fled on foot northbound on Hallowell Lane toward
the Tamarack Apartments in Camden.
The suspect is described as an African-American male, 20 to 30 years
old, approximately 5-foot-8 and 210 to 240 pounds. He was wearing
a dark blue hooded nylon jacket with three large white stripes on
both sleeves, a black knit hat, light-colored pants and tan Timberland-type
boots. Please see photos below.
