MEDIA   INFORMATION

February 23, 2004

Camden County Prosecutor Vincent P. Sarubbi and Acting Camden Police Chief Edwin Figueroa announced today that a $1,000 reward has been posted for information leading to the arrest of Cristobal Ramos, M/25, a.k.a. Qui Qui, who is charged with Murder in the fatal shooting of Anthony J. Harris, M/29, on Feb. 10, 2004, in Camden, N.J.

Camden Police responded to 911 calls reporting the shooting at approximately 2:26 p.m. Feb. 10 and found the victim lying in the street in the 1900 block of Pierce Avenue. Harris, of the Gramercy Park Apartments in the 2000 block of Hull Road in Camden, was pronounced dead at approximately 9:55 p.m. that night. He died from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.

The investigation indicates the victim and the shooter engaged in a verbal argument on Pierce Avenue, and the suspect then fired a handgun at the victim from close range. A photograph of Ramos can be seen below. No further description is available.

In addition, Sarubbi and Lindenwold Police Chief Francis A. McHenry announced that a $1,000 reward has been posted for information leading to the arrest of Morris Forrest Broadway, M/26. Broadway, of the first block of Peoria Lane in Sicklerville, is charged with Murder in the fatal shooting of Maurice Develle Thomas, M/20, on Jan. 22, 2004 in Lindenwold, N.J.

Lindenwold Police received a 911 call at approximately 11:01 p.m. on Jan. 22 reporting shots fired at the Green Tree Apartments on Gibbsboro Road. Officers arrived to find the victim lying on the floor of unit 1504. Thomas had been shot multiple times in the upper body and was dead at the scene.

The investigation indicates Broadway was among four men who went to the apartment intending to rob Thomas. The other three defendants have been apprehended. Broadway is described as a black male, approximately 5-foot-7 and 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. A photo can be seen below.

Anyone with information on either of the subjects is asked to call the Camden County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit at (856) 225-8400. Both should be considered dangerous.
