April 15, 2003

Camden County Prosecutor Vincent P. Sarubbi announced that Raymond Pagan M/17 of the unit block of Ablett Village, Camden pled guilty today to aggravated sexual assault. The defendant, who was waived to adult court in July 2002 admitted before Superior Court Judge John T. McNeill, III that on January 1, 2002, he invited the victim into a home on the 200 block of Evergreen Avenue in Woodlynne. Once inside the home, the victim became intoxicated, lost consciousness and the defendant placed his penis into her mouth. At the time of the offense, the defendant was fifteen years-old.

Assistant Prosecutor Howard Gilfert, of the Child Abuse Unit within the Prosecutor's Office will recommend a term of 12 years in New Jersey State Prison when Pagan is sentenced August 1, 2003.
