January 21, 2003

Camden County Prosecutor Vincent P. Sarubbi and Woodlynne Police Chief John W. Ragan announced today that a woman found dead on Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, on a ball field in Woodlynne died of natural causes.

Dr. Paul Hoyer of the Camden County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the cause of death to be a brain aneurysm and the manner of death to be natural.

A passerby saw the woman lying in a field at 3rd and Cedars avenues in Woodlynne and notified police at approximately 4:49 p.m. Monday. The 21-year-old woman, who lived in Camden, was pronounced dead at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center a short time later.

The field where the woman was found is a commonly used shortcut for Camden residents who walk to the Ferry Avenue station of the PATCO High-Speed Line.
