CAMDEN COUNTY PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
VINCENT P. SARUBBI, CAMDEN COUNTY PROSECUTOR
MEDIA   INFORMATION

January 18, 2003

Camden County Prosecutor Vincent P. Sarubbi, Camden County Sheriff Michael McLaughlin and Camden City Police Chief Robert Allenbach announced today that Larry R. Henderson, M/37, was arrested Friday night, Jan. 17, 2003, on a warrant charging him with Felony Murder in connection with the death on Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, of Rodney Harper, M/37.

Sheriff's officers arrested Henderson without incident at his residence in the 6500 block of Lexington Avenue in Pennsauken at approximately 8 p.m. Friday.

The victim, of the 1400 block of Greenwood Avenue in Camden, was shot once in the chest at approximately 3:28 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2003, inside a residence in the 1100 block of Kaighn Avenue in Camden. He was transported to Virtua-West Jersey Hospital in Camden and shortly thereafter to Cooper Medical Center, also in Camden. He died at Cooper at 2:35 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2003.

Previously, on Jan. 13, 2003, Sheriff's officers arrested Gregory Clark, M/25, of the 400 block of Wildwood Avenue in Camden, on a warrant charging him with Murder in connection with Harper's death.

A criminal complaint alleges that Henderson held another individual at gunpoint while Clark demanded money from the victim. When the victim did not comply, Clark shot him, the investigation indicates.

Henderson was being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility in lieu of $300,000 bail, cash or bond. Clark remains lodged in the jail in lieu of $300,000 bail, as well.

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
