On September 7, 1983, the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders created, by resolution, "a County Commission for Women to advise and advocate on issues and the needs of women in Camden County and to recommend to the Board of Chosen Freeholders action to be taken to deal with the problems affecting women and promote women's programs, and coordinate the efforts of women's groups and social service agencies within Camden County."

The membership consists of women and men who represent various sectors within Camden County such as civic, business, labor, social service, legal and consumer affairs.

Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm at the M. Allen Vogelson Regional Library, 203 Laurel Road, Voorhees, NJ 08043. Call (856) 225-772-1636 for directions. Meetings are subject to change. Call (856) 225-5575 to confirm.
