Biography of Frank Filipek, Jr.Frank Filipek, Jr. joined the Camden County One Stop as the Assistant Director in 2003 where he assists in coordinating activities among the partners who comprise the economic and workforce development system. In 2005, he was appointed Director of the Resource Center, where he and his staff deliver services that help put unemployed residents on a faster track to employment.
The Resource Center is a career center dedicated to assisting its clients—county residents who need a new job -- in developing their full employment potential. A Camden County employee for 15 years, Frank was formerly the Deputy Director to the Department of Health and Human Services and Confidential Aide to the Freeholders’ Office. In 2007, he was named “Person of the Year” by management and employees of Camden County Government.
Frank is well connected in the labor and workforce development community. He is a member of the Garden State Employee and Training Association; Camden County Covenant for Children, Youth and Families; and the Camden City Initiatives Committee. He chairs the county Employee Health & Wellness Program; and the Positive Youth Development Committee. From 2006 through 2010, he has been asked to participate in numerous panel discussions including the Academic Business Connection Lecture Series for the Camden County Technical School.
A Bellmawr resident, Frank has served as an elected school board member in his town, where he participated in college scholarship fundraising activities and mentoring programs.
He is a graduate of Thomas Edison State College in Trenton. He is working on his MBA at Drexel University. He is a Certified Public Manager through the State of NJ and holds a Qualified Job Counselor Certificate through the Department of Labor. He is a resident of Bellmawr, NJ.
