Strength and Hope: Shared Experiences of Addiction and Recovery

The Camden County Board of Freeholders, Camden County College and Camden County Addiction Awareness Task Force Presents “Strength and Hope: Shared Experiences of Addiction and Recovery”, a six-part educational series for addiction professional and aspiring addiction counseling professions.
 
All workshops will take place at: 
Camden County College, in Taft Hall on the Blackwood, New Jersey 
In the Presentation Room 2nd floor 
Workshops start at 6:00pm
 
 
September 20,2017 Session: Ray Massi 
Topic: Gangs, violence, drugs and addiction 
This workshop will provide current data concerning the relationship between gangs, drugs and addiction in the tristate area with an inside look from the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area’s (HIDTA) Deputy Director Raymond Massi.
 
About Dep. Director Ray Massi
 

Was appointed Deputy Director of the Philadelphia-Camden High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area(HIDTA) in 2016. Prior, Ray served nearly fourteen years as the Law Enforcement Coordinator for the United States Attorney’s Office; D.O.J. and twenty-seven years in Camden Police Department before that. Ray has worked with numerous law enforcement and civilian agencies throughout the state on counter-terrorism and other crime related issues. Ray is an Adjunct Professor since 2009 and has conducted numerous trainings/presentations to law enforcement, educators and community leaders in the areas of Extremism and Terrorism, Criminal Gang and Cult Behaviors and Addiction.
