National Night Out

August 6 is National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.  National Night Out aims to enhance relationships between neighbors and law enforcement to help make our neighborhoods safer and bringing back a true sense of community.

 

Municipalities from all over Camden County will be participating in National Night Out on August 6th.

Audubon: 100- 200 blocks of West Merchant St. from 6:30-8:30 pm
Family Event, Bike Rodeo/ Obstacle course, Free giveaways, Audubon Business and Organization Fair.

Audubon Park: Dusk on Soccer Field behind Audubon Municipal Building. 2 Road C Audubon Park NJ 08106
Family Movie night to start at Dusk. More details to follow.

Barrington: Wish Upon A Star Park and Girls softball fields at 490-492 Reading Avenue.
Free Kona Ice, Moon Bounce, Meet and Greet with Police fire and EMS, Family Fun Event

Bellmawr: Recreation Center 6-8pm
Family Fun event including Interactive Video Game event, Trackless Train, Pony Rides, Free food/ drink and more.

Berlin Borough: Community Wide 6-9pm
“Best Pie in Berlin” contest. Emergency personnel will visit several developments in the community to interact with residents and judge pies submitted in a community wide competition. Contact the Berlin Police for more details.

Camden NJ: 6pm Main event will be held at Yorkship Square in the Fairview neighborhood of Camden.
Main event to include a Community Walk and Family Fun activities. Other events to also be organized throughout Camden city. More information to be provided when available.   

Cherry Hill: Cherry Hill Municipal Building 6-8:30 pm. 820 Mercer Street Cherry Hill NJ.
Vendor Fair, Food giveaways, Kids games, DJ, Phillie Phanatic appearance, K-9 Demonstrations, Touch a Vehicle displays and more.

Chesilhurst: 511 Edwards Ave, 6-9pm.
Family Movie, Free food, Kids games and sports.

Clementon: Please Note That Clementon Is hosting their Event on Monday August 5th .
6pm-8pm at the Dan Dougherty Sports Complex on Berlin Road.
Bounce House, Pony rides, Magician, Food, Live DJ, Vendors, K-9 Unit Demonstration

Collingswood:5-8pm at corner of Haddon and West Collings Ave.
Festival, Police and Fire truck Expo, Free child ID’s, bike safety demos, mascots, prizes food and more.

Gloucester City: 6-8pm Proprietors Park, Gloucester City
Family Fun event combined with Summer Concert Series. Police sponsored activities such as Bounce Houses, games, children’s activities and food. 7:30 pm Craig Bickhardt concert at Proprietors Park. Come out for a great evening.

Gloucester Township 6-10pm: Last year voted #7 National Night Out in the country.
This year the police will visit approximately 25 Neighborhood watch groups in the town as well as 2 public visits at the Erial Fire Department and the Blackwood Fire Department. At approximately 9:30pm there will be a firework display at Veterans Park for the entire community.

Haddon Heights: 6-9pm, Family Fun Night at the McLaughlin-Norcross Memorial Dell and adjoining parking lot by the playground in Haddon Lake Park; 6-9pm
Touch A truck with Police Fire and EMS vehicles, face painting, relay races, obstacle course, music, food, entertainment and more…Bring the family For a Great Night in Heights!

Laurel Springs: 5-9pm Jack Hagen Center, 820 Grand Avenue, Laurel Springs NJ.
Police Fire and Military Vehicles on Display, Food, Music, Games and Family Fun.

Lawnside, (with Magnolia and Somerdale): Multi town event in the Lowes Parking Lot, White Horse Pike, Lawnside. Family Fun Night Many Fun Activities planned. Check out the town’s websites and Facebook pages for more information.

Lindenwold: 6-9pm, Lindenwold Park, 1000 United States Avenue.
DJ, Bounce House, Mobile Gaming Station, Food, Civic and Community Groups in attendance. A great Family night.

Magnolia, (with Lawnside and Somerdale): Multi town event in the Lowes Parking Lot, White Horse Pike, Lawnside.

Merchantville: 6-8pm, 212 Somerset Street Merchantville NJ.
Inflatable slides, bounce houses, dunk tank (featuring police officers and firemen), face painting, roving magician, Mister Softee, soft pretzels and DJ. Free giveaways for children.

Mount Ephraim: 7pm behind Kershaw School, 125 S Black horse Pike Mt Ephraim
Family Fun Event being planned more details to follow. New addition, Tokens handed out to students at Celebration Table to be handed in 1st day of School. Classroom with most tokens wins a pizza party.

Pennsauken; 2400 Bethel Avenue. 7-9pm
Police and Fire displays, Specialized Unit Demo’s, Ambulance Displays, Giveaways and Free water ice, soft pretzels and bottled water

Pine Hill; Overbrook Highschool; 1200 Turnersville Road 6-9pm
Fun Filled Family Event including, Moon Bounce, Carnival Games, DJ, Police and Fire Department demos, Physical Fitness Course and Car Show.

Runnemede; 6-9pm, Harry Williams Building, 2 Broadway, Runnemede.
Family Fun Event; Police Fire and EMS Vehicles on display, Car seat safety Demonstration, Local Business Fair with Giveaways, Pizza , Pony Rides, Music, Games and more. Come out for a great community evening. 

Somerdale, (with Lawnside and Magnolia): Multi town event in the Lowes Parking Lot, White Horse Pike, Lawnside.

Stratford: Parkview Elementary School, 123 Parkview Rd Stratford NJ 08084
Start time 7pm. Police Fire and EMS vehicles on display, Mr Softee, and Popcorn. Family Movie, “Incredibles 2” at dusk.

Voorhees, 6:30-8:30pm Connolly Park, 605 Centennial Blvd.
Sidewalk Art, competitions, carnival attractions and games, food and more. Police Officers , k-9 units, Drug and Alcohol Counselors, Domestic Violence Advocates and other services will be represented.

Waterford: 5pm-11pm, Atco Raceway, 1000 Jackson Road, Atco NJ, 08004
Car show, Live music, food, Live Car Racing capped off with a Fireworks Display, Great Family Event.

Winslow Township: 5pm-10:30pm, Winslow Township Highschool, 10 Cooper Folly Rd Atco, NJ 08004
Family Fun Movie, “Ralph Breaks the Internet”, Inflatable obstacle course, food, giveaways and more.

Woodlynne: Community Wide early evening, 8-9pm at Municipal Building, 200 Cooper Avenue Woodlynne NJ 08107.

Residents are encouraged to turn their porch and outdoor lights on and to sit in front of their homes to be the eyes and ears of the community.  The volunteers for National Night Out will visit the homes and give out Raffle Tickets and safety information. All participants should gather at the municipal Building at 8pm for music, raffle drawings and more.
