Her America: 5 Women Artists Who Defined 20th Century Art

Join The Center at Camden County College for the lecture series “Her America: 5 Women Artists Who Defined 20th Century Art” with Monica Zimmerman on Tuesdays at 7 PM at the Collingswood Community Center.

This week’s artist is Kara Walker. Known for using humor, theatrics, and the traditionally proper Victorian media of the silhouette to explore issues of race, gender, and sexuality, Walker’s images have become a fulcrum for contemporary conversations around how we deal with difficult American histories.
