Autism Awareness Lectures

Event Navigation

Join The Center at Camden County College for a series of Autism Awareness Lectures held on Tuesdays from 6 PM to 8 PM.

This week’s topic is “A Basic Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorders” led by Jennifer Hoheisel, professor of Philosophy at Camden County College. Jennifer and her son, Will, provide this lecture as an overview of the symptoms and behavior commonly exhibited by individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Emphasis will be on understanding the strengths and challenges for these students and on equipping teachers with curricula and strategies to meet some of the educational needs of these individuals. This will be a very general session that both introduces Autism and provides a few “take home” strategies.
