Autism Awareness Lectures

Join The Center at Camden County College for a series of Autism Awareness Lectures held on Tuesdays from 6 PM to 8 PM.

This week’s topic is “Autism and Anxiety in Educational Settings” led by Lynnette Knight. Ms. Knight applies a multidisciplinary approach in mental health counseling and behavioral science with an emphasis on counseling techniques, evidence-based practices and methodologies with the field. Research indicated that occurrence of anxiety related problems is among the most common issues experienced by students with ASD. The workshop will provide information on the relationship between anxiety and ASD, tips on recognizing the anxietal response cycle in ASD students, and provide practical classroom strategies to minimize anxiety provoking situations.
