2018 Women’s Health Expo: Healthy TogetHER!

The Camden County Board of Freeholders is proud to present Healthy TogetHER, the 2018 Women’s Health Expo. The Expo will take place on Saturday, May 12th, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Camden County College in Blackwood. The expo is FREE to attend and will include FREE eye exams and FREE onsite, licensed childcare will be available to all attendees.

Experts from around the region will lead interactive workshops and panel discussions about health, nutrition & exercise, family, mind, body & spirit, and professional & financial wellness. The day’s activities will also include a health & wellness exhibitor fair with more than 110 exhibitors, complimentary box lunch, tote bag, giveaways, door prizes and more!

 

Featured Speakers:

Maysoon Zayid is an actress, comedian, writer and disability advocate. She is a graduate of, and a Guest Comedian in Residence, at Arizona State University. Maysoon is the co-founder/co-executive producer of the New York Arab American Comedy Festival and The Muslim Funny Fest. She was a full-time On Air Contributor to Countdown with Keith Olbermann and a columnist for The Daily Beast. She has most recently appeared on Oprah Winfrey Network’s In Deep Shift, 60 Minutes, and ABC News. Maysoon had the number one TED Talk of 2014 and was named 1 of 100 Women of 2015 by BBC. As a professional comedian, Maysoon has performed in top New York clubs and has toured extensively at home and abroad. She was a headliner on the Arabs Gone Wild Comedy Tour and The Muslims Are Coming Tour. Maysoon appeared alongside Adam Sandler in You Don’t Mess with the the Zohan and has written for VICE. She walked in New York Fashion Week and is proud to be an ambassador for the Cerebral Palsy Foundation. Maysoon is currently developing a comedy series with Hazy Mills Productions called If I Cancan.

 

Kathleen Volk Miller –Kathleen Volk Miller is an essayist, a professor, and Director of the Graduate Program in Publishing at Drexel University. She has written for the NYTimes Modern Love, O, the Oprah magazine, Salon, The NYTimes MotherlodeFamily CirclePhiladelphia Magazine and other venues. “How We Want to Live,” an essay, was chosen as the final piece in Oprah’s Book of Starting Over (Flat Iron Books, Hearst Publications, 2016). She is co-editor of the anthology, Humor: A Reader for Writers (Oxford University Press, 2014). She is co-editor of The Painted Bride Quarterly and co-host of PBQ’s podcast, Slush Pile. She has also published in literary magazines, such as Drunken BoatOpium, and other venues. Dr. Loretta Mueller is a renowned headache specialist in practice at the Headache Center, based at the Kennedy Health Alliance practice in Cherry Hill, NJ. She isrecognized nationally through peer reviewed publications, lectures, advisory panels, and more than 50 headache-specific research trials. Board-certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Mueller holds additional certification by the National Board for Certification in Headache Management and has limited her practice exclusively to headache management. A 1988 graduate of Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly UMDNJ-SOM), Dr. Mueller is a member of the American Headache Society, the International Headache Society, and the National Headache Foundation.

 

B+YND and The GOOD Fest. Kate Van Horn, Jess Baumgarder and Jen Clark are friends and co-founders of the Philadelphia based wellness events brand, B+YND.
B+YND hosts events nationally, including retreats, workshops and The GOOD Festival, a full day wellness conference for 400+ women. The GOOD Fest includes inspiring content and speakers, meditation and yoga, and a marketplace of vendors that support a healthy lifestyle. Coming from various backgrounds, from blogging to health coaching to organic restaurant management, Kate Jess and Jen were inspired to bring health-driven events to their city. They hope to encourage connection and community among like-minded women. Through discussion, classes, and celebrations, they create unique and welcoming spaces that make a healthy lifestyle approachable, fun, and achievable.

 

Kim Oberg – Owner upcycle // Yogawood. upcycle is the first studio of its kind in South Jersey. Offering indoor cycling, barre and yoga classes all under one roof. upcycle opened its doors in the heart of downtown Collingswood, NJ in May 2015…almost three years before owner + founder Kim Oberg had ever planned on owning her own studio. Since their first day in business, upcycle has become exactly what it was always meant to be: a place where people of all fitness levels could come and workout, connect with one another, connect with themselves and know that the instructors were paying attention to them and keeping them safe — all while having a little bit of fun, too. On January 1, 2017, upcycle merged with Yogawood, a Collingswood yoga studio and in January of 2018, upcycle + Yogawood (along with Light Now + Krista Clear) opened up in the Grant Building at 716 Haddon Ave.

 

Ibrahim Moussa, DO, FACC, FSCAI, RPVI. Moussa is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI)  who’s specialty is Interventional Cardiology (board certified) and his subspecialties are Nuclear Cardiology, Adult Echocardiology, Endovascular Medicine, and Vascular Medicine (board certified in all subspecialties). He has participated in numerous clinical research trials and research projects and is a published author in Cath Lab Digest. His areas of interest include: limb amputation prevention, complex coronary interventions, hybrid coronary revascularization, endovascular and hybrid therapy of structural heart disease, treatment of venous disease, endovascular treatment of aortic disease, vascular ultrasound, and research.

Want to be an Exhibitor at this years Expo?

The Expo Review Committee will consider exhibits that focus on health and wellness. Please refer to guidelines.
