1968: The Year that Changed America

Join The Center at Camden County College for the lecture series “1968: The Year that Changed America” on Wednesdays at 7 PM in Civiv Hall. 

This week’s topic is “The Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.: An American Tragedy” led by Wayne Glasker from Rutgers University-Camden. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination in Memphis in April 1968, sparked a violent reaction throughout the nation, which widened the divisions between Americans, and changed the nature of the civil rights movement. Glasker will discuss the assassination, and the immediate and long-term impact.
