Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez Named Legislator of the Year

Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez received the 2010 Legislator of the Year Award from the South Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners at the association’s Beyond the Glass Ceiling Awards on Nov. 10 at the Merion in Cinnaminson. She was honored along with women in seven other categories.“I am so honored to be named the 2010 Legislator of the Year and to be included among all these women who have accomplished so much and made so many contributions to our community,” said Freeholder Rodriguez, who is also a science teacher at Brimm Medical High School, wife and mother of four. “As I look back, I can see the obstacles I overcame to become the woman I am today. I think all women know that there can be a struggle to achieve the highest heights and also to balance career and family. I feel so fortunate to have had all these opportunities and am especially delighted to be honored by my sisters.”
