Camden County College Commencement Webcast

The 42nd annual Camden County College commencement will unfold worldwide as the graduation ceremony is broadcast live on the College Web site on May 22. The festivities will be available for later viewing online and on DVD as well.

More than 1,700 associate’s degrees and certificates are expected to be conferred during the event. It will take place rain or shine in the Truman Courtyard of the College’s Blackwood Campus under a 18,000-square foot event tent.

The ceremony will feature addresses by University of Pennsylvania Professor Jeremy McInerney, the keynote speaker, and Falio J. Leyba-Martinez, the student speaker. Another highlight will be the presentation of the 2010 Outstanding Alumnus Award to Trymaine Lee, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who graduated from the College in 2000 and now works at The New York Times.

Thanks to resources made available through a collaboration with Camden County, audience members as close as across the street and as far away as across the globe will be able to log in at 10 a.m. and watch the processional, the recessional and everything in between as it all unfolds. Viewers must have Windows Media Player software installed on their computers to use this option. To access the Webcast, visit www.camdencc.edu and click on the “Commencement Webcast” link.

Afterward, the ceremony will be archived for a time on the College Web site. In addition, a podcast of the proceedings will be available on iTunesU. To view the archived recording, visit www.camdencc.edu and click on the “Commencement Webcast” link. To access the podcast on iTunesU, visit www.camdencc.edu and click on the “iTunesU” button.
