(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by NJ American Water that crews will be replacing a water main at the intersection of Clements Bridge Road and Irish Hill Drive in Runnemede beginning Saturday, April 6. The project is to be comprised of two phases, requiring both partial and full closures of the roadway.

“Road closures can affect traffic patterns and travel times throughout the surrounding area, so it’s important for motorists to be aware of how this may affect their commute,” Shin Angulo said. “Motorists should be alert for shifting traffic patterns, congestion, and sudden stops when in the construction area. Make sure to leave extra time when commuting and remain extra vigilant of additional hazards when driving near crews and equipment.”

Beginning Saturday, April 6, crews will begin work replacing the water main from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. During this time, there will be a partial closure of Clements Bridge Road northbound between Schubert and Mitchell Avenues. Motorists will be directed to utilize a posted detour route during this time.

On Monday, April 8, and Tuesday, April 9, the roadway between Schubert and Mitchell Avenues will be completely closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

This project is expected to be completed on Wednesday, April 10, at approximately 6 a.m. Scheduling and project timing is also dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
