Camden County College Appoints New Vice President of Academic Affairs

(Blackwood / Camden)On Tuesday, October 3, the Camden County College Board of Trustees appointed Dr. David Edwards to the position of vice president of academic affairs, effective November 1.

Dr. Edwards comes to Camden County College from Mercer County College, where he has served for the past year in the same role.  Dr. Edwards has had a wealth of experience at other New Jersey community colleges as well. In addition to his most recent role as vice president of academic affairs at Mercer, Dr. Edwards has worked at Middlesex County College as the dean of arts and sciences and Hudson County Community College as dean of instruction. 

“We are extremely pleased to have someone with such relevant background and experience to assist us during these challenging times in higher education,” states Camden County College President, Donald A. Borden.

Dr. Edwards was forwarded as a finalist from a selection committee representing a large segment of the College and was also interviewed by the executive staff. He then met the members of the college community at a public forum. He begins his tenure at Camden County College on November 1, 2017.
