Workforce Investment Board
The Camden County Workforce Investment Board is
responsible for providing employer and community-based leadership
for Camden County’s workforce system. In partnership with
the Board of Chosen Freeholders, WIB is responsible for insuring
quality programs and high performance through the development
of best business practices and continuous improvement for the
entire workforce system in Camden County. The WIB’s ongoing
role is to promote the vision, guide the system, and to set standards
for a framework for continuous improvement.
The Workforce Investment Board was created by the
Workforce Investment Act (WIA) enacted by Congress in 1998. The
law requires that the needs of the labor force play a major role
in defining how training programs and services must be structured.
