Description:
Cherry Hill Station is on the verge of becoming Camden County's first 21st
century true transit village. The Township has approved a $500 million redevelopment
plan for the former racetrack site. Within the next two years, there will
be 1,659 new homes, office space for 5,000 new workers, and 700,000 square
feet of retail, commercial and entertainment space on the east side of the
tracks. The area is already home to Garden State Pavilions' 400,000 square
foot shopping center and Subaru's North American headquarters on the west
side. Redevelopment opportunities are still available here. From this NJ Transit
station, one could be at Amtrak's 30th Street Station in Philadelphia in about
30 minutes and in Atlantic City in 70 minutes. (120 words)
