Description:
Kmart and Acme formerly anchored this grayfield shopping center, which is located between two major roads on the east side of Berlin Borough. The site is within the Borough's East End redevelopment areas, which roughly extend from Route 534 (Jackson Road) to Route 561 (Tansboro Road). North of this site, opposite Route 30 and within the Borough's sewer service area is an abandoned Owens-Corning brownfields site and significant amount of undeveloped woodlands. The grayfield property is adjacent to a branch of Virtua-West Jersey Hospital, residential neighborhoods and commercial properties. Historic Downtown Berlin is also a short walk from here. The site is on a major bus route and is with in one mile of the NJ Transit's Atlantic City Line Atco Station.
