This older shopping center is located in front of the Old Orchard neighborhood in Cherry Hill's eastern end. Only one-third of the center, which sits far back from the highway behind a sea of asphalt parking, is now open. Newer and bigger shopping centers in adjacent Evesham Township have made this site difficult to lease without substantial site plan and building alterations. Situated on the eastbound side of Route 70, the site is accessible from both sides of the highway with a traffic light and median turning lanes. Route 70 has a number of smaller successful shopping centers with landscaping and buildings set closer to the highway. Opportunities exist for redevelopment of this site for mixed-use, including housing, office and retail development.
