Description:
The Crossroads Redevelopment Site is the gateway to Pennsauken and Camden
County's northern waterfront communities. Located minutes from Philadelphia
from either the Tacony-Palmyra or Betsy Ross bridges, the redevelopment
site is at the crossroads of three state highways - Routes 73, 90 and 130.
Pennsauken Township and the Camden County Improvement Authority are reviewing
proposals to redevelop this area, which was formerly the home of the Pennsauken
Mart. They envision a mixed-use, town center development, comprised of 350
to 500 housing units of various styles and types. The town center is to
include commercial and retail uses, with artisan shops, galleries and exhibit
spaces for local artists. The site also will provide public amenities for
local residents and regional visitors.
